History

The Rodman Group origins can be traced back to 1974, when Manuel Rodriguez, current President of the Group, founded Rodman Construcciones Navales e Industriales, starting then its activity in shipbuilding industry. During these years, the Group yards have built and delivered more than 15,000 crafts. This track record and past experience have positioned the Group as one of the most consolidated shipbuilders in Europe. Currently, the Rodman Group is the eldest company in Spain within its sector, with an interrupted activity for almost 45 years.

Boats

The Rodman Group provides the most wide and versatile range of product within the sector. High quality standards, maximum reliability and the best seaworthiness, these are the production attributes of Rodman in all its ranges.

The activity of the Rodman Group is dedicated to shipbuilding, with a wide range of lengths and different building materials: steel vessels, GRP boats and fast RIBs, encompassing both professional and leisure crafts.

The Group manufactures, in its various shipyards, from RIBs to 170 m. length steel vessels ranging from luxury yachts, sailing boats or patrol boats for all the governmental agencies all over the world.

Industrial Capabilities

With 4 factories distributed across Spain and Portugal, the Group has the largest industrial premises in its sector, adding a total of 250,000 m2 and out of those, 66,000 m2 are covered areas. These facilities enable the company to undertake an ambitious international expansion plan whose aim is to achieve an export rate of 90% in a medium term.

The total industrial area is divided into: Neuvisa-Tarpon and Rodman Polyships in Moaña (Spain), Metalships & Docks in Vigo (Spain) and Rodman Lusitania in Valença do Minho (Portugal).

The proven success of the Rodman Group is mainly based on its labour force, highly qualified and specialized. This fact added to the ongoing incorporation of state-of-the-art technology, guarantees the best production processes.

Its spirit of ongoing improvement has led the Rodman Group to develop its own internal quality standard: Rodman Quality System, RQS.  This system focuses on exhaustive control of production materials and processes, thereby ensuring the highest quality in delivery and warranty, unrivalled conditions in the market.

All the rodman products are backed by the most relevant international quality certificates: ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and Pecal 2110/AQAP.

International expansion

Thanks to its solid financial base and successful track record, the Rodman Group has developed an ambitious project for national and international development and expansion. Currently present in more than 50 countries, Rodman aims to become a world leader in its sector.
